Leading U.S. based chip firm NVIDIA and Reliance industries in India have joined hands together and announced collaboration of two industrial giants in developing India’s own foundation large language model (LLM) in September 2023. This initiative will develop LLM trained in various Indian languages and adapted to incorporate generative artificial intelligence in it.

According to recent announcement by both the companies, NVIDIA and Reliance will work jointly to develop artificial intelligence infused infrastructure powerful than the India’s fastest computer at current.  NVIDIA will allow access to its highly advanced NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip and and NVIDIA DGX™ Cloud. The former one is the fundamental shift in computing architecture for enhanced performance and greater memory bandwidth, and the latter one is an artificial intelligence supercomputing service in the cloud. The AI infrastructure powered by NVIDIA will be provide foundation of the new doors into artificial intelligence for the Reliance company in its all required sectors.

The joint collaboration of above-mentioned companies will help Reliance to enhance its capabilities in this transforming industrial scenarios. The artificial intelligence in all sections of the society is enhancing the daily lives of people. As per the trusted sources information, Reliance aims to build artificial intelligence-based services and applications to help its 450 million customers in India. Reliance also aims at providing AI cloud infrastructure facilities to researchers, start-ups, tech developers, and others across the country to have access in enhanced computing and high-speed cloud networking to handle workloads in efficient and safer ways.

Reliance admits that artificial intelligence infrastructure from this joint venture with NVIDIA will accelerate India’s AI projects, drug invention and production, AI chatbots, and climate examination, among others in 2023. Thus, the main aim behind the collaboration of Reliance with NVIDIA is to serve digital, cloud and networking platforms for consumers, along with gaining experience in the same.
