Bosch Rexroth, a part of the Bosch Group, is one of the leading suppliers of industrial hydraulics, electric drives, controls, linear technology, and pneumatics. The company serves various market segments including mobile applications, factory automation, machinery applications, and engineering across 80 countries. The company’s product portfolio includes various hydraulic components for applications such as earth moving, cranes, agricultural machinery, aerial platforms, and other industrial applications manufactured through its production unit present in the USA, China, Italy, and Germany. The company in a strategic move to strengthen its hydraulic business and sales distribution network in North America has planned to acquire HydraForce Inc. in this July 2022. With Bosch Rexorth strong distribution network in Europe, the acquisition is expected to strengthen its base in North America and enhance opportunities in other complementary global markets namely Asia-Pacific and South America. The indirect sales channel like sales partners and system integrators are the focus areas of the acquisition along with another objective of stabilizing the supply chain to improve customer service further.

The acquisition is also expected to strengthen the product portfolio with a varied offering for customers in the hydraulic solutions market. The expanded workforce combines the employee pool of 2,100 individuals from HydraForce and 1,800 individuals from Bosch Rexroth’s Compact Hydraulic business units will help in capitalizing on the increasing demand for hydraulic components especially the major market of heavy-duty mobile equipment applications.

It is to be noted that Lincoln International’s Industrial Group carried out the acquisition process. The President and CEO of HydraForce highlighted that the knowledge and deep expertise of Lincoln on hydraulics and the global fluid power landscape played a vital role in the smooth execution of the whole process.
