Scrap aluminum recycling can save more than 95% more energy than making new metal.
Recently, Ocean Insight announced that it acquired technology from Rigaku Analytical Devices that use light to swiftly and effectively evaluate scrap aluminum for recycling. Every year, there is a rise in consumer demand for products containing aluminum. Ocean Insight's innovative Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy-based (LIBS) SpeedSorter high-speed aluminum sorting technology offers customers more flexibility when assessing aluminum, independent of the environment or alloy grade. This includes better tools for analyzing the chemical makeup of each scrap piece of aluminum before classifying it into several categories that can be melted down and recycled.
This acquisition of technology from Rigaku Analytical Devices will help Ocean Insights to expand its footprint in the global metal recycling market and to protect natural resources by creating new solutions.
