
CareGame and Vodafone Idea have Partnered to Provide 5G Mobile Cloud Gaming

On 30th September 2022, in a statement, Vodafone Idea stated it will show out 5G cloud gaming for its subscribers at the India Mobile Congress in 2022. According to the telco, it "will make AAA mobile gaming accessible to Vi subscribers, allowing mobile game fans to enjoy high-quality mobile games across major genres on any Android or iOS smartphone device, without any download." Notably, Bharti Airtel, a competitor of Vi, used the trial 5G spectrum provided by the Department of Telecommunications to perform the nation's first cloud gaming trial in a 5G environment in Manesar in September of last year.
"Mobile gaming is a critical agenda item for Vodafone Idea to encourage customer engagement. According to Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Idea, "The firm has been steadily growing their gaming portfolio, and this partnership with CareGame will bring India's first mobile cloud gaming service on Vi 5G for their users to receive the best gaming experience at IMC 2022. The games are broadcast from the servers, so gamers do not need to download or purchase expensive cell phones to participate in cloud gaming. The low latency technology of 5G is projected to democratize the cloud gaming market further. According to a Boston Consulting Group report, 300 million mobile gamers are now active in India. The Indian mobile gaming market is anticipated to quadruple in size to more than USD 5 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 38%. For all mobile gamers to experience these fantastic mobile games, whether RPG, MOBA, Battle Royale, Strategy, Simulation, FPS, Racing, or any other genre, all these obstacles are lifted by their unique mobile cloud gaming technology. Everyone can enjoy AAA mobile gaming without downloading or using a gamepad.
