The Feed Phytogenic Market is witnessing significant growth as the livestock and poultry industries increasingly embrace natural feed additives derived from plant-based sources. Phytogenic feed additives, often composed of herbs, spices, and botanicals, are recognized for their potential to enhance animal performance, improve feed efficiency, and support overall animal health. This market is driven by a growing shift towards sustainable and natural alternatives in animal nutrition.

Phytogenic feed additives offer benefits such as improved digestion, enhanced immune response, and the potential to replace or reduce the use of traditional antibiotic growth promoters. As the demand for animal products from healthier and sustainably raised livestock rises, the Feed Phytogenic Market plays a crucial role in addressing these industry trends.

June 2023- Cargill has bought Delacon, a company that makes plant-based additives for animal feed to promote health and performance. Cargill and Delacon share a long history and commitment to developing sustainable solutions for animal nutrition using scientific research. The acquisition brings together Cargill's global reach and deep expertise in animal nutrition with Delacon's pioneering knowledge and experience with phytogenic feed additives. These additives use herbs, plants, and extracts like essential oils to improve livestock and aquaculture growth and health. Combining Cargill's animal health technologies with Delacon's phytogenics provides the next step forward for animal productivity and sustainable, wholesome food production. The acquisition expands Delacon's potential for future innovation and increases the global availability of phytogenic feed additives. With Delacon's plant-based phytogenic products, Cargill furthers its commitment to research, innovation, sustainability, and collaboration focused on animal digestive and immune health. The Delacon Hub located in Engerwitzdorf, Austria continues to be the main center for phytogenic feed additives even after the acquisition.

January 2023- Evonik intends to introduce the initial product from a new phytogenics-focused collaboration with Dr Eckel in Europe. This partnership will allow Evonik to expand its animal nutrition gut health product range, which currently includes various probiotics aimed at laying hens, broilers, and pigs, by adding phytogenic products - ingredients created to function as alternatives to antibiotics in livestock farming. The agreement would increase the phytogenic additive manufacturer's potential for future innovation and make its products more accessible.
