  August 2023: Medela has declared its intention to broaden its range of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) products by introducing the Invia Integrated Dressing, which is designed to be applied to a variety of wound types. It is possible to apply the new sterile dressing to any form of lesion, including closed surgical incisions. It can be utilized independently or in a medical facility for a duration of seven days. The 'peel-and-stick' adhesive named Invia Integrated Dressing was granted approval by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to the company in July of this year. It includes a three-layer fluid management pad with a silicone adhesive border that is gentle on the skin. The new dressing also incorporates the Quick-connector, a pump-to-dressing connection component found on all NPWT products manufactured by the company. Its design specifically accommodates the Motion and Liberty Medela NPWT pumps.

  October 2023: DuPont, a provider of technology-based materials and solutions, introduced DuPont Liveo MG 7-9960, a new low-cyclic silicone soft skin adhesive (SSA) with enhanced adherence in October 2023. A novel adhesive has been formulated with the purpose of facilitating the attachment of medical devices to the epidermis and promoting prolonged wear time, while also enabling their delicate removal. DuPont Liveo is a provider of medical device silicone technology. On the market, these technologies are extensively utilized for advanced wound care and scar therapies. It is stated that the peel adhesion of the new adhesive is the highest among the Liveo SSA family. It has superior conformability, atraumatic removal, high repositionability, and wear performance, all of which contribute to its design flexibility. DuPont Liveo MG 7-9960 is an adhesive that maintains its non-sensitizing, non-irritating, and non-cytotoxic properties.
