In Aug. 2021, Chinese printer manufacturer Niimbot launched a thermal printer, the Niimbot D110, for creating small stickers for home and celebrations. The Niimbot D110 uses small (up to 12mm) sticker rolls with mixed colors and styles, including handy tags and illustrated stickers for birthdays and parties. 


In Mar.2021, Chinese printer manufacturer Niimbot launched a vintage-style thermal printer, the Niimbot B21. The new printer makes wide 20-50mm stickers and labels. The mid-century modern retro design makes it ideal for craft stores that need a label maker and a talking point for customers. This uses the Niimbot app, which can even convert mobile photos and print them. 


In Apr. 2021, Canon launched an inkjet photo printer, the PIXMA G620, designed for consumer use. The Canon PIXMA G620 helps creators design and personalize things like stickers, cards, apparel, and more. 


In May 2019, Canon launched a customizable nail sticker printer in the US. The company's DIY nail art marks its entry into the beauty business. Assortments of 200 nail art designs are available for select PIXMA series printers. The stickers are completely customizable, enabling nail art enthusiasts to create their own designs using the Canon Nail Sticker Creator App, which is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and Android mobile devices.


On Feb. 11, 2023, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that its R&D Centre registered a new patent for an adhesive device for 3D printers. The new device distributes the adhesive material on the 3D printing plate, enabling the printed material to stick securely to the build plate.
