- Oct 2023: The assets of Avon Protection's Lexington, Kentucky facility have been closed for acquisition by CoorsTek, a renowned global producer of sophisticated ceramics, effective July 1, 2023. The acquisition was signed by CoorsTek and Avon together, and the deal is expected to be finalized by the end of 2023. CoorsTek has long been a defense and aerospace sector supplier. CoorsTek can better assist and interact with the defense sector through the acquisition, particularly in creating and producing technical ceramic plates necessary for body and aircraft armor.
