The Feed Phytobiotics Market is witnessing robust growth as it emerges as a cornerstone in the evolution of sustainable and natural solutions for animal nutrition. Phytobiotics, derived from plant-based sources such as herbs, spices, and botanical extracts, play a pivotal role in enhancing the health and performance of livestock and poultry. This market is driven by the global shift towards reducing the reliance on antibiotics and synthetic growth promoters in animal feed.

Phytobiotics offer a range of benefits, including antimicrobial properties, immune system support, and improved digestive health. As the awareness of antibiotic resistance and the environmental impact of conventional farming practices rises, feed phytobiotics provide a viable and eco-friendly alternative for promoting animal well-being.

April 2023- A natural feed supplement made from a tree native to Chile could assist turkey farmers in controlling blackhead disease. The supplement contains Quillaia, which was blended with polymers to allow for a gradual release inside the turkey's digestive system. Although the Quillaia was administered via feed in this study, a phytogenic solution delivered through drinking water is also being developed to combat the disease. Turkey poults that were given the phytogenic feed additive showed decreased death rates, lower lesion scores in the cecum, and overall better performance versus the control group when infected with blackhead disease. This research was first presented on a poster at the 2023 International Poultry Science Forum.
