RECENT DEVELOPMENTS 



  • In May 2021, to combine Verizon’s managed connectivity LTE with Honeywell internet of things sensor for forming a smarter energy grid system. A partnership was formed between Honeywell and wireless carrier Verizon. The proper implementation of this project will fasten up and simplify the rollout of sensors, internet-connected hardware, and controllers on electrical grids.

  • In March 2021, a partnership was being entered between Muller systems and the cadaver’s county water district for the placement of the advanced metering infrastructure network. This partnership will cover a massive area of 1000 square miles with 14000 AMI points. Most of the meters in this district would be replaced by this project and will also enhance the communicability potential of all the meters. On the other hand, the CALAVERAS county water districts provide water services to over 14000 co0mmercial & residential customers divided into 7 service areas though out the country.

  • In June 2020, to provide support technology for member engagement and grid management and update its advanced metering system, a partnership agreement was being entered into between piedmont electric and Landis+Gyr. The grid stream of the Landis Company was deployed with an RF mesh network and to ensure secure communication with advanced meters, budget for approx. 35000 meters was passed. These new meters will replace the old ones on the existing power lines which will help in controlling the load, improve reliability, and support the flexible billing options.
