U.S. Renewable Energy Boosted by Wind and Solar Energy

In the U.S., generating electricity from wind turbines has become more prevalent. This has even surpassed the hydropower electricity generation reports of 2019. With this, wind power is the country's largest single renewable energy source. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, it is followed by hydroelectricity and solar power.

According to the reports, Hydropower has remained a regular part of the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Also, Hydropower has always remained a normal part of U.S. electricity generation, as solar power and wind – are created in the electric power sector. Also, the number of citizens and other commercial actors has snowballed over the past two decades.

The survey reports prove that Hydropower has also struggled to progress because the sector also relies on large-scale projects, such as the Hoover Dam. The big dam projects have not been built in the U.S. for a while, as the reports say. It is because of the difficulty to be faced if undertaking the current environmental protection laws. Thus, it is giving easier-to-scale wind power a chance to get ahead. Like Hydropower, the electricity generation from biomass and geothermal energy has changed somewhat over the past twenty years. But their share remains a smaller one in the U.S. electricity market.
