By Anshula Mandaokar , 02 June, 2023

Green Tech is the new normal as adopted by the world to save environment. The five most prepared countries to use and adapt to the frontier technologies which will help the green tech transition are Sweden, United States, Singapore, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. This is according to the data released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

On the level of their preparedness to start using the technologies with indicators- industry, skills, research and development and finance. Each of these indicators used the summed rank of each indicator to give forward a final score. According to the reports, the countries at the bottom of the list are the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Gambia, South Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau.

The countries which are most at the risk of missing out on the current technological opportunities are Latin America, sub- Saharan Africa, and the Caribbean. Despite China’s calibre to produce and innovate frontier technologies, it ranked 35th because of urban-rural disparities in broadband speed and internet coverage.
