July 2023: The UK immersive technology company FourPlus, along with Holosphere and the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, will be developing and testing a mixed-reality training platform for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors starting in July 2023, thanks to funding from Innovate UK. Through the digitization and automation of pharmaceuticals R&D and production competition, $1 million has been invested in the project, with around 75% coming from Innovate UK. The funds will be used to construct a versatile platform that can accommodate mixed reality and multiplayer features. This digital and automated training platform is going to be useful for a wide range of manufacturing jobs in the hospital, biopharmaceutical, cell and gene therapy, and larger life science sectors.
November 2022: The OmnifyXRTM Interventional Suite System will be developed in partnership with GE Healthcare and MediView XR, Inc., a prominent clinical augmented reality med-tech firm, with the goal of integrating medical imaging into mixed reality solutions. The announcement was made in November 2022. When it comes to digital solutions, pharmaceutical diagnostics, and medical technology, GE Healthcare is unrivaled.
