By Indu Tyagi Ketan , 15 February, 2023

Democracy remains the best tool to unleash human potential and bind people together to continue to champion by overcoming challenging problems.

According to the reports, the United States, along with the government of the Netherlands, Costa Rica, the Republic of Zambia, and the Republic of Korea will co-host the second Summit of Democracy on March 29 and 30, 2023. There will be an assemblage of world leaders in a virtual format followed by gatherings at each of the co-hosted countries with representatives from civil society, government, and the private sector.

Co-hosting the event ensures that a fair and safe world grounded in democratic values is both a shared responsibility and shared aspiration, as the data reveals. Further revelations show that this event will highlight how democracies work for their citizens and are always ready to address the world's most pressing challenges.

Thus, the U.S. is ready to showcase the progress and commitment made by Summit partners during the Year of Action. The committee will try to address emerging challenges to democracy and require collective actions to be taken toward it.

According to the reports, nearly 100 governments made almost 750 commitments to advance democracy, counter authoritarianism, and fight corruption.
