    • November 2022: Safety pen needles, a venous blood collection set, and capillary blood sample instruments were just some of the cutting-edge offerings on display from Owen Mumford (Oxford, UK). The Unifine SafeControl gadget is part of the company's line of safety pens for insulin injections; it is designed to shield medical staff while maintaining a comfortable level of control. Owen Mumford's Unistik Touch safety lancet uses innovative comfort zone technology to reduce the discomfort of drawing capillary blood. The goal of developing the Unistik Touch safety lancet was to streamline the process of collecting capillary samples.  Users may activate the gadget with a single touch by pressing it on the sample site; the device will then turn on automatically. By automatically retracting the needle into the device's body after use, it reduces the likelihood of contamination, damage, and reuse.

    • As a result of a merger with a California company, the biotech company RPS Diagnostics will be able to deploy its infections test on a global scale. Through a stock purchase agreement, Lumos Diagnostics has purchased 100% of the shares of Rapid Pathogen Screening Inc., RPS's parent business. The monetary details were not made public. The RPS, now known as Lumos, will continue to run out of the same location. To quickly assess the body's immune response to an acute respiratory infection (ARI), clinicians can use the FebriDx test, which was developed by RPS and includes a built-in safety lancet to obtain a fingerstick blood sample, a rotating blood collection and transfer system, and an integrated push-button buffer activation, according to Lumos.
