  Oct 2023: It is anticipated that Getinge's $320 million acquisition of Healthmark Industries will strengthen its position in the US sterile reprocessing sector. Getinge can enhance its consumable products and equipment for sterilization and reprocessing thanks to the agreement, which investment bank Stout mediated. This is being hailed as an aggressive move by Getinge, with 17x expected earnings before taxes, depreciation, interest, and amortization (EBITDA) ratio for 2023.

  Jan 2023: The German company Trumpf, located in Ditzingen, has made several improvements to its metal additive manufacturing equipment, intending to expand its market share in the automated engineering, aerospace, and medical industries. The TruPrint 1000 has undergone significant modifications, including adding a multi-plate capability that allows the machine to be utilized for series manufacturing and an increased variety of powder alloys. It is said that the machine is now twice as quick as it was before the multi-plate feature was included. In the build cylinder, users can arrange up to four build plates on top of one another, upon which the system additively constructs components one at a time. This saves time and money by making the TruPrint 1000 suited for lights-out output. The machine's side has access to the filters. An important benefit from a health and safety standpoint is that the user may sterilize the additively made components and extract the build job without opening the door. Trumpf is also reported to have enhanced the gas flow to speed up and increase the machine's dependability.
