Oct 2023: The largest healthcare provider in the area, BJC HealthCare, says it is developing a strategy to guarantee that individuals reliant on "Obamacare" health insurance policies would continue to have access to its network. Before the open enrollment season opens, BJC said it would like to announce a contract for a new Affordable Care Act coverage alternative early this week. This action comes after Cigna said it would no longer provide personal marketplace plans in Kansas and Missouri after 2024. This Monday, a Cigna representative stated that the business could not provide Missouri and Kansas with exchange plans for 2024 that would have satisfied its requirements at a reasonable cost. This will not impact Cigna's commercial, Medicare, or individual dental insurance programs.

Oct 2023: To improve its cancer pipeline, AstraZeneca, the maker of popular cancer treatments like Tagrisso and Enhertu in collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo, will be revealing results from three bispecific antibody prospects at the upcoming European Society for Medical Oncology Congress. The few mutations contribute to preserving structural integrity and may improve immunogenicity and other desirable pharmacokinetic characteristics. Having collaborated with ADC specialist Daiichi Sankyo on Enhertu and other projects, AstraZeneca is not new to the field. The two intend to apply for the authorization of ADC datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato-DXd) following a recent phase 3 study that showed the medication associated with better results in breast cancer patients.
