
India Surpasses China’s Population

With India overtaking China to become the most populous country in the world having 5 million more people vs China as per the World Population Review. India is supposed to see growth in population through 2050 as per the analysts. It adds up as an urgency to create more jobs to ensure the country sustains the world beating growth.
According to the reports, India has currently 1,415,236,875 population as of February 2023 based on the Worldometer elaboration of the late data by the United Nations. With this India’s population is equivalent to 17.7 percent of the total world population. The country ranks at 2 in the list of countries when it comes to population. The population density in India is 464 per km sq. and the count of urban population is 35 percent.
In India, half of the population is under the age of 30. It is all set to be the world’s fastest growing major economy in the coming years. To make the life easier for this growing mass, the country’s government needs to create jobs for the millions of people entering the workforce every year.
According to WPR, India’s population had already climbed up to 1.423 billion as of January 18 2023. Another research estimates the latest number for India’s population at 1.428 billion.
As per the reports reveal, UN estimates that more than the half of the expected increase in the global population between 2022 and 2050 is supposed to be more centric in these eight countries- the Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines and Tanzania.
