Flexible Plastic Snack Food Packaging Companies

Leading petrochemical producer SABIC has partnered with Polivouga, a producer of flexible film products, to introduce the novel TRUCIRCLETM project, which aims to recycle post-consumer plastic waste collected from locations up to 50 kilometres inland from waterways.

The world's first frozen food packaging solution has been developed using SABIC's certified circular polyethylene from feedstock sourced from oceanbound plastic, thanks to a collaboration between SABIC and Polivouga with the Nueva Pescanova Group, a Spanish brand owner that specialises in fishing, farming, processing, and marketing of fresh, chilled, and frozen seafood products.

SABIC uses this alternative feedstock to make certified circular polymers, SABIC® LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene) and LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene), which are processed by Polivouga to make flexible packaging film. The plastic materials are converted using advanced recycling technologies. The frozen seafood from Nueva Pescanova is then packaged in bags made from this film.

The AffirmTM product family includes C-P's unique high-pressure pasteurisation (HPP) films, which were created especially for prepared foods, fresh dips, soups, sauces, and produce snacks. These films can withstand the rigorous requirements of high-pressure pasteurisation and seal to and peel from a variety of tray materials.

Preferred Packaging, a branch of C-P Flexible Packaging, provides a range of films and trays for frozen and chilled food, such as GreenStream moulded pulp trays, which are an eco-friendly substitute for conventional plastic trays.
