Veolia Bioconversion Malaysia has received approval from the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture to export Entomeal insect powder and Entolipid insect oil to the European market for use in aquaculture, animal feed and livestock. Insect feeds offer many benefits to these applications, such as high digestibility and a nutritious food source.
September 2023- De Heus Vietnam has just inaugurated a new aquafeed factory in Can Tho province, Vietnam. Can Tho animal feed factory specialize in producing feed for pangasius, with a capacity of 240,000 tons/year. The feed mill's strategic location near the river port offers advantages for transporting raw materials to the mill and finished products to farmers. Floating feed products can be transported efficiently from feed mills to farms by river. This results in significant cost reductions, much lower greenhouse gas emissions through more efficient shipping, no use of plastic packaging materials, and less waste in shipping and manufacturing.
July 2023- Aquaterra omega-3 oil has received approval for use in fish feed Global agricultural innovator Nuseed – part of seed and crop protection technology company Nufarm – welcomed the decision The Norwegian Food Safety Authority approves the use of this oil in fish feed. This is a major milestone for Nufarm's Omega-3 Growth Platform. This opens up significant opportunities for them in Norway to provide sustainable plant-based sources of omega-3 to the Norwegian aquaculture market.
