Nvidia's large language models (LLM) and generative artificial intelligence (AI) in 2023 are progressing with innovations. Recently, at Nvidia's annual Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Technology conference in 2023, the company announced its partnership with Google Cloud. This collaboration marks the launch of L4 GPU and Vertex AI to speed up companies' production, focusing on generative AI applications.

Nvidia mentions that the L4 platform enhances the quality of artificial intelligence-powered video performance. It is currently available in the private preview on Google Cloud through Google's G2 virtual machines, as per the information given by the organization. The company adds that L4 can decode, stream, and transcode. Nvidia says it will equip Google Cloud with the required features to set up new tools and applications. In the discussion, Nvidia's officials mention that the collaboration helps Nvidia GPU boost the PaxML structures for creating many large language models (LLMs). According to the company, the Jax-based machine learning structure will assist in training the large-scale models. Google uses PaxML to develop internal models, such as DeepMind, and it will also incorporate it into the Nvidia GPUs.

Based on a survey, several generative AI startups have been using next-generation applications, where Nvidia technology marks its place on the Google Cloud. Writer and Runway are the well-known applications among these. In Writer, the application integrates transformer-based large language models to develop web pages, ads, blogs, and others. Meanwhile, Runway uses artificial intelligence to create videos differently in new styles. Also, it helps content writers exceptionally by allowing them to develop video content as the model can copy certain types through given images and text prompts. As per the official announcement by Nvidia, Google Cloud is the communication service provider to bring Nvidia L4 GPU to the cloud. After the recent information on Nvidia and Google Cloud's collaboration, Nvidia shares have increased up to 4.2 percent. This collaboration will enhance the expansion of the distribution of artificial intelligence technology.
