OpenAI Should Meltdown for the Sake of Artificial Intelligence Race

By Aarti Dhapte , 04 January, 2024

OpenAI launched ChatGPT to benefit consumers with its conversational features that can interact with the users. Experts mentioned that the meltdown of OpenAI could lead to the expansion of artificial intelligence in 2023.

Based on a survey, ChatGPT noted 100 million users weekly in 2023, followed by 92 percent of approaches from big competitor firms to improve the technology. Experts cited the matter of ChatGPT’s to develop artificial intelligence for the benefit of humans. ChatGPT has enhanced the power of artificial intelligence in the market and contributes to the economy. Artificial intelligence can help to advance the condition of a nation's economy in many ways. As the tech industry plays a significant role in improving the economic situation of a country, artificial intelligence can help it very efficiently, and ChatGPT can make the process faster. ChatGPT can lead to educating human resources on the proper usage of artificial intelligence. The experts noted many reasons OpenAI should melt down more quickly in 2023. Firstly, the wide use of OpenAI leads to the commercialization of generative AI and expands the process in order to develop the tech sector. OpenAI lays the battleground to prove its dominance over artificial intelligence, as companies like Google and others are competing with OpenAI to improve their products based on generative AI. The competitor tech companies aim to improve their services to overcome the facilities provided by OpenAI currently. Lastly, the rise in artificial intelligence demands that tech employees be well-skilled in AI-based tools. Due to this, tech companies have increased the number of layoffs in the year 2023, to maintain the headcount of AI-skilled workers who prove beneficiary for the companies.

This kind of AI dominance can lead to less employment in the tech industry for those not well-versed in AI, or it can also improve the employment capacity with AI in the upcoming years. OpenAI was launched to benefit humanity and not with the motive of profit generation. Still, over time, OpenAI's results have given rise to profit marketing that is not in the best interest of humanity but rather harmful.
